River Family, As you prepare for our time of worship together this Sunday read Matthew 9:14-17. While Jesus had many eyes on Him, He had very few true followers. Those who had eyes on Him had many questions for Him, and they should.

This man heals people. This man casts out demons. This man commands the winds and the waves. This man teaches with authority.

Could He be the Christ? Matthew 7:28-29 & Matthew 8:16-17

But many things He does and says do not line up with us (God's people). Why do we (John the Baptist's Disciples) and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?

Jesus answered their question with a question and then gave two illustrations. What does Jesus mean by His question and illustrations?

Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them?
