-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON-

Gospel Living & Evangelism

Dear River Family,

It is my hope that we as a church will continue to move in directions of healthy, Christ-centered marriages and families (parenting). Please continue to pray for one another and encourage one another in the Lord regarding marriage and parenting. This Sunday, our focus will be on Gospel Living & Evangelism. When we begin to understand that salvation belongs to the Lord and that saving people from their sin is the Lord's work, we may begin to see evangelism in different light.

Read John 6:44 & Romans 8:29-30 prior to reading Acts 8:26-40 (when you reach Acts 8: 32-33, jump to Isaiah 53 and read the chapter, then return to finish reading Acts 8).

Take note of Acts 8:35. This little narrative verse holds the key elements of evangelism: Philip opened his mouth... He began with Scripture... He told him the good news about Jesus.

Wow! What a clear, instructive verse on Evangelism?

I am looking forward to getting into the Word with you Sunday and worshipping Jesus our Savior and Lord.

Grace and Peace,

Eric
