Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid. 10/8/23

Weekly Memory Verse: "In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." - John 16:33b

Sermon Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:6-18

-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON-

River Family,

As we continue in Matthew 14, we may wonder if the disciples of Jesus will ever "catch a break." Read Matthew 14:22-36. We all have heard the saying, "When it rains, it pours." Well, in this occasion it is literal for the disciples. They got into the boat as Jesus instructed, and they ran into a storm. Consider the storms of life. We all have them. Yet in the storms of life let us:

Not lose hope Not lose sight Not lose heart

How do we keep our eyes on Jesus through the tribulations of life? How can we encourage one another through the storms of life? How is it that the result of the storms of life can lead us to worship Jesus?

Looking forward to worshipping with you Sunday.

Grace and Peace, Eric

Until He comes, having the mind of Christ, walk together in grace and truth.
