-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON- Your Kingdom come, your will be done...

Dear River Family,

This Sunday, Lord willing, we will continue our crawl through the prayer that is commonly known as "The Lord's Prayer". Read Matthew 6:9-15

John the Baptist and Jesus both preached the message, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

What did they mean by the kingdom of heaven is at hand? How is God's kingdom at hand?

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is teaching us to pray for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. As Jesus teaches us to pray, He is teaching us what our hearts should long for.

How often do you think about the kingdom of God? How do you long and pray for God's kingdom to come? How do you long and pray for His will to be done?

Until He comes, having the mind of Christ, walk together in grace and truth.

Grace and Peace, Eric
