A Time of Celebration & Prayer

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice. - Philippians 4:4

-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT- Praise, Prayer, & Thanksgiving

This Sunday we will be focusing our time on praising the Lord, praying to our Lord, and glorifying our Lord through thanksgiving.

In 1 Chronicles 16, when the ark of God was placed in the tent that David had set up, David sang a song of thanks to the Lord. The beginning of David’s song will serve as a framework for our gathering this Sunday.

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!

Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works!

Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!

-CONSIDER & MEDITATE- This week as you prepare for our Sunday gathering, consider the following:

  1. What are the wonderful deeds of the Lord revealed in His Word?
  2. What are the wonderful works of our Lord that are evident in your life?
  3. What are you thankful for these days?
  4. What has been the focus of your prayers this year? a. How are you praying for others? b. How can others pray for you? c. Have you asked others to pray for you?
