-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT- Abiding in Christ (From the Passover to the Lord’s Supper)
Weekly Scripture Reading: John 10:1-18
"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for His sheep." John 10:10-11
This Sunday we will participate in the Lord’s Supper. We will eat the bread and drink the cup, remembering and proclaiming the Lord’s death. May we remember the wrath which God poured out on Christ and the grace which He poured out on us. May we remember the sacrifice of Christ for the payment of our sins. May we remember our oneness with Christ and one another (the body of Christ) that we have through faith in Christ.
In all our remembering, may be humbled and thankful before our holy gracious God who has poured out His love for us through Jesus Christ. May we also rejoice in the salvation that we have received by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. And may we continually proclaim the good news of the promise of eternal life found in Jesus Christ alone.
Reading for this Sunday:
Exodus 12 Luke 22:7-23
Let’s remember to settle any conflict with one another prior to partaking of the Lord’s Supper, so that we may proclaim rightly all that Christ has accomplished on our behalf.
