-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT- Abiding in the Love of Christ Or Awaiting the Wrath of God

Luke 12:4-5 – I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear Him who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him!

Matthew 10:28 – And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

The last chapter of Joel is a chapter of destruction and salvation, a call to war and a call to peace; some experience the wrath of God while others experience the love of God.

Read Joel 3

In light of verse 13 – read Revelation 14:15-20, 19:15 In light of verse 16 – read 1 Thess. 1:30, Romans 8-9, Romans 4:4-5.

May we humble ourselves before the mighty God and seek refuge in Jesus Christ our Lord. May we give thanks and praise for our Savior – Jesus Christ. For rejection of Christ is sure to end with the wrath of God.
