Why was Jesus baptized? What do we learn through Jesus' baptism?

Why did the Spirit lead Jesus to the wilderness to be tempted? What do we learn through the temptation of Jesus? About the devil? About Jesus? About our response to temptation?

Also read Hebrews 2:14-18.
