Verses 19 and 21 begin in saying - …since we have… What do these verses say we have?
That which we have (confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus and a great priest over the house of God) serves a foundation for us to live or act.
So – because we have access to God the Father through the blood of God the Son (Jesus), the Scripture calls us to 3 things. Look for them in the verses that follow (22, 23, 24). They begin with Let us…
These 3 (faith, hope, and love) are found a few times in Scripture together. Look up the following passages:
1 Corinthians 13 1 Thessalonians 1 Romans 5:1-11 Hebrews 6:9-12
Take time this week studying faith, hope, and love. · What does Scripture have to say about these? · Look at some biblical examples of these. · Write out a biblical definition of these. · What do they have to do with endurance?
Which of these do you desire to grow in the most? Why? Ask God to strengthen your faith in Christ. Ask God to secure your hope in His promises. Ask God to grow your heart in love for Him and others.
