Scripture Reading: Ephesians 5:1-14
"Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." - Ephesians 5:2
-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON-
The Lord, the Lord…forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty…
Lord willing, this Sunday we will look at the forgiveness of God. Our sin against the holy, righteous God is serious. Our sin is offensive to our holy God.
Take some time to think about your rebellion and disobedience to our holy God. Confess your sin to Him.
God in His mercy and grace forgives iniquity, transgression, and sin. Because our sin is serious, the payment for our guilt and sin is costly. The forgiveness of God comes at the shed blood of Jesus Christ. To be forgiven, you must confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; you must trust in His life, death, and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sin.
Read Luke 22:47-23:49
Take some time to think about the cross of Christ. Thank God for the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Who is forgiven of their sin? Who are the guilty that are by no means cleared?
