God's Design - The Church & The Lord's Supper

As we continue to look into God's Word and discovery His design of the church (the body of Christ, the bride of Christ, the household of God, the children of God, the family of God), we will explore the ordinances to be observed by the church. As a protestant church, we practice two observances - baptism & the Lord's Supper. We believe these to be instituted by Jesus for the church to serve as a visual reminder of His working, saving grace.

We have tended to over personalize and individualize these observances, yet they are gifts to the church that reveal unity and togetherness as believers in Christ Jesus.

Readings to help us prepare for the Lord's Supper:

Exodus 12 Luke 22-23 1 Corinthians 11:17-

Isaiah 53

Please prayerfully consider your relationships with your brothers and sisters in Christ. If there are any current issues, may we be encouraged to humbly address issues of concern, seeking and/or granting forgiveness for reconciliation and unity of the body.
