God's plan for church leadership
With the installation of Jordan Powers as an elder, this Sunday will be a special service. We will look to the Word regarding the role of an elder in the church. We also see the expectations of an elder, His work, His character. Please remember to pray for your leaders as they seek the Lord and lead.
Pray for protection of their hearts and minds. Pray for their marriages and their families. Pray for their understanding of the Word of the Lord. Pray for them to be strong and courageous as they lead.
The following passages will be helpful in preparation for Sunday’s message:

Family Night
July 21st is a Summer Family Night at The River. Doors will be opened at 5:30pm. Tables will be set up in the cafe'. Bring your dinner and let's fellowship together. After eating together, we have a devotional time and then close the evening with games.
Giving Thanks to the Lord for Don Hammer
Thursday, July 15th, family and friends will gather at The River to celebrate God's wonderful work in and through the life of Don Hammer.
The celebration is at 2pm in the Children/Youth Sanctuary.

Also, every Sunday morning at 8:20am, our prayer team gather to pray. We meet in the second classroom in the main lobby. Come join us as we seek the Lord and present our requests to Him.
