Jesus' Substitutionary Atonement. 4/10/22

Weekly Memory Verse: "...For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." - Romans 3:23-24

Sermon Scripture Reading: John 12:12-24

-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON- This Sunday we will be looking at Jesus' Substitutionary Atonement. Read Romans 3:21-26 in preparation for Sunday. In the sermon title and in the scripture reading, we are going to encounter some unfamiliar words. While we will be defining these words this Sunday, go ahead and work on the definitions of the following words: substitutionary (substitute), atonement, righteousness, manifested, justified, redemption, propitiation

If you have children in the home, work on these definitions together. In addition to the verses in Romans, the following verses will be helpful: 1 Peter 3:18, Romans 5:6-10, Galatians 3:10-14.

Looking forward to worshipping and growing in Christ with you this Sunday.

Grace & Peace Eric
