Joy Everlasting found in His Word

I have stored up your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. - Psalm 119:11

-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT- This Sunday, we will celebrate new life in Christ in the observance of Baptism. This is an exciting time to see Christ proclaimed through new lives professing Jesus as Savior and Lord.

This Sunday, we will bring to a close our series on Joy Everlasting. In preparation for Sunday, Read Psalm 119:1-32.

As you read these verse, seek to answer the following questions:

  1. What is the longing of the writer’s heart?
  2. What does the writer claim about the Word of God (decrees, statutes, rules, law)?
  3. What does the writer ask of the Lord (how does the writer depend on the Lord)?

Consider Take time to stop and think about your attitude toward the Word of God. Do you have a great desire for God and His truths? Do you desire more understanding of His Word? Does your worship of the Lord stem from your time in the Word?

PRAYER Pray and ask the Lord to grow your hunger, understanding, and satisfaction in the Word of the Lord.
