-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON- Prayer & resting in the providence of God
Dear River Family,
As we have been walking through the Lord's Prayer, the providence of God has been on the forefront of my mind. All that which Jesus instructs to pray, we know that God will see through; He will see it through for His glory and to the benefit of His people. This does not suggest that God is passively watching all that He has foreseen simply unfold. It means that God is actively, powerfully working, ruling, governing - providing, protecting, and sustaining, seeing His good, perfect, and pleasing will through - to eternity. This Sunday, Lord willing, things will speed up a bit. We will be looking at 3 verses instead of one (Matthew 6:11-13). These three verses expose our need to be both provided for and protected and that we should turn to our heavenly Father for such.

Until He comes, having the mind of Christ, walk together in grace and truth.
