Rejoicing in God's Faithful Work in Summit

the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. - Isaiah 58:11

GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS!!!

-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT- God’s Faithfulness in That Which He has Called Us

2019, in preparation for The River Bible Church Elder’s Retreat, the elders spent time reading and praying through a number of passages in Isaiah. At the retreat, the elders felt the Lord’s leading for The River to Raise Up leadership to be Released for the purpose of Restoration of lives of people far from Christ. Later that year, the Lord placed in the hands of The River a church building in Summit, AR. The Lord has faithfully Raised Up among us leadership that has been Released to Summit to participate in His Restorative work. We are humbled and thankful to participate in God’s faithful work of restoring lives through faith in Jesus Christ.

This Sunday, we will hear from folks (The Rushing Family and the Didway Family) who have been Released Summit. Come and hear what God has been doing in Summit and celebrate with us God’s faithful work in and through His people. Justice Didway is one who has been Raised Up and Released from us to Summit. Justice has been leading worship in Summit and preaching the Word on occasion. Pray for Justice; he will be sharing with us Sunday morning and preaching.

Read Isaiah 58

· May we repent of that which we need to repent. · May we rejoice in the faithfulness of our God. · May we faithfully respond to the Lord’s calling on our lives.

May our hearts be filled with joy and thanksgiving for Jesus Christ is our salvation.

-PRAYER & THANKSGIVING- Take some time to be still before the Lord. Find a quiet place to read His Word and listen to the Lord. Take some time to let your requests be made known to God. Humble yourself before the Lord, casting all your cares upon Him, remembering that He cares for you.

-River's Edge- Last week we had a great turn out for Tuesday Troopers. We are heading to Summit again - Tomorrow is Tuesday Troopers. We will meet at The River at 9:00am. We will be going to Summit Bible Church and working with Jon and Katie on the church facility. They have a wedding coming up in September. We will be cleaning, pressure washing, and painting, so dress accordingly. After we eat lunch in Summit, it is our goal to be back at The River at 1:00. Bring your mask for the van ride over and bring something to drink.
