Ruth - A Story of Steadfast Love

Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. - 1 Peter 4:19

-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT-

This Sunday, we will begin walking through the book – Ruth. Ruth is wonderful book in the Old Testament. I want to encourage you to read through Ruth at least once this week.

I pray that the Lord will use the book of Ruth to grow us in a number ways:

1. May we learn to trust the Lord in the midst of tragedy.
2. May we learn to trust the Lord even when we don’t understand His ways.
3. May we learn to trust that the Lord is doing something wonderful, even through difficult situations.
4. May we learn the value of loving one another with a steadfast love.
5. May we remember that this place in which we live is not our home; we are on a journey home.

1 Peter 4:19 addresses a few themes that we will encounter in the book of Ruth. It reads, Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.

-PRAYER-

Pray for those around who are struggling with the difficulties of life. Pray that they would trust our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ during these times and that they would glory God in their suffering.
