To the Church of Philadelphia. 3/28/21

Weekly Scripture Reading: John 19:38-42. As you go through these weekly readings, we will find them to serve us well in our preparations and approach to Resurrection Sunday (April 4th).

Romans 6:4: "We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life."

-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT-

I hope this letter finds you well. Lord willing, this Sunday we will focus our attention on Jesus’ letter to the church in Philadelphia. As you read and prepare this week, I want to encourage you to pay close attention to all that Jesus is doing on behalf of this congregation and take note of the love, care, protection, and provision of The Great Shepherd, for His people.

As you prepare for Sunday, I want to encourage you to apply our 7 fundamental questions:

Q1. In this letter, what do we learn regarding the Character of Christ? Q2. What is the Context of this passage? Q3. How is this church Commended by Christ? Q4. How is this church Corrected by Christ? Q5. How is this church Called by Christ? Q6. What are the Consequences should this church obey or disobey the Words of Christ? Q7. How does this passage Correlate to today?

I look forward to growing with you! In Grace, -Jp
