-THIS SUNDAY'S SERMON-

A Revision to The River Bible Statement of Faith

1 Samuel 2 has to be one of the most challenging chapters in Bible. I pray that you will read it and reread it in preparation for this Sunday. There are so many truths that we will discover in Hannah's prayer and then see the truths realized in the daily lives of Eli and his sons and Hannah and her family. Read slowly! Stop and ponder as you read! Ask yourself the hard questions! Look to the to the Word of God for the answers!

I guess I am asking us to dedicate time in God's Word and in thought. Be willing to let the Word challenge your thinking. We will say that we believe in the sovereignty of God, but what does that mean? How do we abide in the Lord under His sovereign hand?
