What Child is this?
Read Matthew 2:1-23. What child is this who would stir the prophets of old to speak of Him hundreds of years before His birth? The prophets Micah, Hosea, and Jeremiah are quoted in this chapter of Matthew.
Read Luke 1-2. What child is this who would create such a stir among the angels, the messengers of God? After some 400 years of silence, the angel Gabriel begins to move and speak, and all the angel’s activity centers around Jesus.
What child is this who would cause wise men from the East to travel to Bethlehem with great rejoicing and joy? They would fall down before this baby; they would worship Him; they would open their treasures and honor Him with gifts.
What child is this who got King Herod all stirred up? Because of the birth of this child, King Herod would have all the baby boys 2 years old and under in Bethlehem and the surrounding region to be put to death.
Who is this baby Jesus who has caused such a stir? What will be your response to this Jesus?

Dear River Family,
Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. I feel like I have been out for a long time. Earlier this month, I got COVID, then following COVID I had a different infection. Praise the Lord, I have been fever free since Thursday, December 16th. Sickness is no fun at all, so lets remember to continue to pray for and encourage those who are sick. May we all draw near to Christ, for He is our ever present help in time of need. God bless you all and Merry Christmas.
