-THIS SUNDAY'S TEXT-

A God Merciful

Our God is the wonderful almighty God. We will continue looking at the nature of God, praying that our hearts will be stirred up more and more to know Him and abide in Him. This Sunday we will look at God - A Gracious God. The word for grace in the Old Testament means "to be or stoop in kindness to an inferior, to favor". In the New Testament, we find grace (charis) to be a "divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in the life". In preparation for this Sunday, the following passages will be helpful:

Romans 3:23-28 Ephesians 2:1-10 Romans 3:9-18 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 1 Corinthians 2:1-16

May we praise the Lord and give thanks to Him for He truly is a gracious God. We desperately need Him and rejoice as we find Him to be faithfully gracious and merciful.

Grace and Peace,

Eric
